Amit Shah's Visit Prompts Measures for Uninterrupted Power Supply in Tamil Nadu (Photo Credit: Twitter) In light of recent events surrounding a power outage coinciding with Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Chennai airport, the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited has issued crucial directives to maintain a continuous power supply during visits by VVIPs and significant government functions in the state. The incident at Chennai airport sparked protests from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who alleged a security lapse on the part of the DMK government. However, officials from the electricity board clarified that the power disruption resulted from the disconnection of a high-tension (230KV) supply line from the grid.
