Ambulances Dispatched for Evacuation and Rescue Operations

In a tragic incident on Thursday, a bus plunged into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district, resulting in injuries to more than 40 passengers. Immediate action was taken as ambulances were quickly sent to the scene to carry out evacuation and rescue operations.

The Incident and Immediate Response

The accident occurred near Kharodi in the Karsog sub-division of Mandi district. Soumya Sambshivam, the Superintendent of Police in Mandi, confirmed the details of the incident to ANI. According to eyewitnesses, the bus somehow got stuck between two trees as it rolled into the gorge, preventing it from falling deeper.

 Local authorities promptly mobilized ambulances and, with the help of local residents, conducted emergency rescue operations. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to the Civil hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, the condition of the bus driver, conductor, and other injured passengers is reported to be stable. The remaining passengers on the bus were confirmed to be safe.

Investigation into the Accident

The exact cause of the bus accident is currently unknown, and the police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. Authorities are working diligently to identify any factors that may have contributed to this unfortunate event.

Other Recent Incidents

Regrettably, this bus accident in Mandi district is not an isolated incident. Just the day before, on Wednesday, a bus veered off the road near Chandi Chowki Haridwar, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a child, and leaving four others seriously injured. The bus involved in this tragic incident was operated by Uttarakhand Roadways and was traveling from Rupahiya to Haridwar.

Similarly, on Tuesday night, a car fell into a gorge near Shog Nallah in Chaloli Tehsil Pangi, Chamba, leading to the loss of one life and severe injuries to two others. Another car accident occurred on Tuesday morning in Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, claiming the lives of four individuals after their vehicle plunged into a gorge.
